Context

VitePress 1.6.4, the newest stable release at the time, depends on a Vite 5 line with published high-severity dev-server advisories (path traversal, fs.deny bypass on Windows) and no fixed release on that line.

Decision

The site is built by a ~150-line generator on markdown-it, markdown-it-anchor and highlight.js. It has client-side search over a prebuilt index, a strict CSP, no third-party requests, and a CI check that fails on broken internal links and on pages missing from the navigation. npm audit is clean.

Revisit when

VitePress 2 is stable on a maintained Vite line, if richer theming becomes worth the dependency weight.
